Cruisers Yachts 540 Express, the largest yacht produced to date by the renowned Wisconsin-based boatbuilder, offers the latest design features, technology, styling and amenities in the world of naval architecture.
The 540 Express is an offshore thoroughbred, with the performance, handling, accommodations and storage necessary for long-term cruising. Incorporating the swim platform, she is 58 feet in length, and she boasts a comfortable 16-foot beam. The well-thought-out abovedeck configuration includes: a walk-around helm area that gives the pilot and co-pilot easy helm access; generous horseshoe seating aft that can be electrically converted to a spacious sunlounge; an aft deck/platform seating area; a fully equipped wet bar with refrigerator or icemaker for onboard entertaining and plenty of storage for water toys.
The 540 also features 12-inch wide sidedecks, allowing for easy forward access, and she has been designed so owners may add an available hydraulic lift to the extended swim platform or electric davit for ease of handling a dinghy or personal watercraft. A camper top and front and side curtains will keep owners and guests protected from inclement weather, while a Bimini top will cool off hot summer afternoons on the water. A stylish hardtop with opening sunroof is standard.
Through the sliding cabin door lies the bright, airy interior of the 540 Express, aglow with the warmth of cherry wood and exquisite detailing. These luxurious belowdeck accommodations truly put this yacht in a class of her own. Owners have a choice of interior layouts: a three-stateroom layout, a two-stateroom layout with additional living space and a two-stateroom layout with separate office space. The two-stateroom layout features a forward stateroom with large island berth and a deluxe amidships master stateroom, which boasts a large island berth and a walk-in, cedar-lined closet. TV/DVD units are available for both staterooms. The three-stateroom layout includes a third cabin with twin berths; owners may also opt to use this third cabin as an onboard office. Additionally, a washer/dryer unit is available in any of the configurations.
The 540 features a full-service galley, equipped with a large refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, a double sink, an electric three-burner stove, a microwave/convection oven with exhaust fan and a coffee maker. A dishwasher is also available. To starboard, the 540 provides a large, crescent-shaped dinette with a unique electric-lift dinette table that stows under the floor and raises automatically for use. Forward of the galley to port, she also offers bar-style seating for informal dining. This wonderfully appointed yacht includes a 27-inch flat-tube television and a Dolby Digital Theatre system with five-CD changer. Both head compartments offer full standing headroom and separate showering areas; the forward head, to port forward of the galley, offers secondary access from the forward stateroom. The aft head, located to starboard aft of the dinette, serves as the master head, with private access.
